Briseyda Zárate is one of the few American Flamenco artists that excel in both Baile & Cante and performs them simultaneously and seamlessly. She has sang for Flamenco Dancers in Southern California for well over a decade at venues such as Cafe Sevilla, El Cid, Alegrías, the Fountain Theater and the Lobero Theater amongst many others. Performance highlights include both dancing and singing in her show “Mestizaje Puro” at the Festival Flamenco in Albuquerque NM, and her Tablao series in LA, “Noches de Tablao”. She’s accompanied the Linda Vega Studio and the Puro Flamenco Studio for the Santa Barbara Fiestas and has worked with Jesus Muñoz Flamenco & Flamenco works for 2 consecutive seasons. She sang for Emi Arte Flamenco’s last season at the renown Maria Benitez Lodge in Santa Fe, NM. Briseyda has just completed studying Cante intensively in Sevilla at the Fundación de Flamenco Cristina Heeren.
